Certificate in Language Technology

Students admitted to pursue an MA in Linguistics may opt to earn a graduate certificate in language technology. This certificate is a credential that indicates graduate-level expertise and training at the intersection of linguistics and applied computer science. The certificate is designed to prepare students for advanced graduate study or for employment in industry.

To earn this certificate, students must complete 13 credit hours in computer science and computational linguistics, up to to 6 hours of which may be double-counted as elective credit for an MA in Linguistics.
