The major is open to any undergraduate student. You may declare the major at the Academic Advising Center, 301 Pierce Hall.

In order to graduate with an English Language Major, students must complete a total of 124 credit hours divided into the following requirements:

General Education Requirements 44 credit hours
Physical Education/Graduation Requirements 2 credit hours
English Language Major Courses 30 credit hours (details provided below)
Minor Requirements 20 credit hours
University Elective Courses: 28 credit hours
PROGRAM TOTAL 124 credit hours

*This course satisfies both a general education requirement and a requirement of this program of study. In order to avoid taking excess hours, students are advised to take this course, or an approved substitute from another institution, as part of the general education requirements.
