the EMU Request for Proposal and related interview, as well as
follow up discussions with the Facilities Planning Team members
and with the University administration.
The project focus will be on the physical components
of the main, west and transition areas of campus. This will typically
include buildings, circulation (vehicular, bicycle, pedestrian),
open space, parking, landscape treatments and buildings assessments
in addition to the definition of long term goals and objectives.
The master plan will be completed in January 2004. The attached
schedule identifies major milestone dates. Campus and
community participation is a key component of the study
approach. Input will occur through:
1. Facilities Planning Team Meetings
2. Focus Group Sessions such as Deans Advisory Council, Student
Leadership, President's Cabinet, Institutional Research Group,
Directors/Associate Directors, Health & Safety and Physical Plant,
