Undergraduate Advising

Through advising, the music student may be assisted by the faculty in planning an academic curriculum, may be granted permission for exceptions, and may seek help in answering questions about programs, graduation requirements, achieving career goals, etc. New undergraduate students normally are advised during Fast Track by the Coordinator of Music Advising. Current students should seek advising for answers to non-routine questions, to solve problems, to make recommendations about transfer credit, and to perform graduation audits.

Advising is intended to supplement, not replace, the student's own planning. A student is responsible for his/her own curriculum and for meeting certification requirements. Students should consult the catalag and be responsible for their own college career. The on-line catalog is official.
