Conducting Sessions - Repertoire
"It was so amazing to just spend the day focusing on conducting...not worrying about all those other things that seem to take precedence over the true art of being a band leader. The concepts and skills we worked on took me to a new level with my students and truly changed how I do things on the podium. I'll definitly be back next year."
-Anne Houston, Director of Bands at Summitt Academy, Symposium Participant/Conductor 2008

Mr. Frank L. Battisti |
I would like to cordially invite you to attend EMU's 2nd Annual Wind Conducting Symposium for Music Educators on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Alexander Music Building on the campus of Eastern Michigan University. Join us in a supportive environment as we explore technical and pedagogical approaches to conducting, offer practical strategies for daily rehearsals, and address issues of communication and motivation that will enhance and inspire your teaching and improve your ensemble's performance.
This all-day workshop will include morning and afternoon conducting sessions with the EMU Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band, as well as a special presentation by our guest clinician, Mr. Frank Battisti.
