Auditions for Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band will take prior to the start of the fall semester and are heard by Dr. Schneider and Dr. Knopps, conductors.
Requirements
Each audition will be approximately seven minutes in length and consist of the following:
-Solo material(s) of your choice demonstrating both technical and lyrical performance ability (please do not exceed four minutes).
-Percussionists must prepare a mallet solo.
-Wind and percussion repertoire excerpts provided to the right in PDF format. These are to be prepared by music majors only.
Audition Sign Up Procedure
A sign-up sheet will be located outside the Band Room (105) approximately one week prior to the start of auditions. Please include your full name, phone number, and email address where you can be reached. If you are required to schedule outside of the time reserved for your instrument, (due to class conflicts or lack of available slots) please clearly indicate your instrument next to your name.
