High school wind and percussion Clinic Day

Sat. November 21, 2009: EMU wind and percussion faculty offer instrument-specific clinics for high school musicians in grades 10-12. The day includes clinics, faculty recital, dinner, an opportunity to audition for the 2010 EMU High School Honors Band and admission to Bandorama. Faculty Recital

Sat. November 21, 2009: Wind faculty perform a recital for Clinic Day participants. Open to the public. Pease Auditorium, 4:00 pm.



BANDORAMA

Sat. November 21, 2009: The Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band and Marching Band take the stage in a colorful and exhilarating display of pageantry and sound led by Director of Bands Mary Schneider and Associate Director of Bands John Zastoupil. Admission: $10 adults, $8 students and seniors, $6 children under 12. For more information click here. Pease Auditorium, 7:00 pm.



Andrea Apel, senior voice and piano recital

Sun. November 22, 2009: Andrea is from the studios of Dr. Garik Pedersen and Kathleen Segar. Pease Auditorium, 4:00 pm.



William Stewart competition

Mon. November 23, 2009: The finest EMU undergraduate wind and percussion music students compete for the opportunity to perform a solo with the Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony during a winter semester concert. Pease Auditorium, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.



Dontaye Caruth Junior Oboe Recital

Mon. November 23, 2009: Dontaye is from the studio of Kristy Meretta. Alexander Recital Hall, 8:00 pm.



"Teach for America" presentation

Tue. November 24, 2009: Katie Sucha, EMU MEDV '08, will talk about her experiences with Teach for America. Katie is presently teaching general music in rural Mississippi and will share her thoughts and challenges with our students. Light refreshments available. 210 Alexander Music Building, 11:00 am.
