Dr. Howard Cass hails from New York City, where he served since 2000 as the music director, conductor, pianist, composer, arranger and vocal coach for Ideation productions. He has directed numerous performances at Theatre Row, Hecksher Theatre and Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, among others. Dr. Cass holds his BM, MM, and DMA degrees from the Juilliard School. From 1988-1994 Dr. Cass served on the Juilliard School faculty as Music Director/Conductor for the Juilliard Electronic Music Concerts and taught courses there in music technology. He was also a guest lecturer at the Juilliard School, Lincoln Center Institute, University of Alabama and Keuka College. In addition, Dr. Cass was the pianist/composer-in-residence for the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra from 1990-2009, performing in over 200 chamber music programs at such prestigious venues as Alice Tully Hall, Weill Hall, the Manhattan School of Music, and Merkin Concert Hall.
