Undergraduate Audition Day Schedule

Applicants will receive receive a written confirmation of their Audition Day in the mail approximately two weeks prior to the scheduled audition. The typical Audition Day schedule for those auditioning in January, February and March is as follows:

 

8 a.m. – Registration and Refreshments- Alexander Music Building lobby

8:30 a.m. - Welcome Session – Alexander Recital Hall

9 a.m. - Dance applicants go to Warner Building for Dance Auditions

Music applicants:

9 a.m – Basic Music Theory Assessment Exam

9:15 – 11:30 a.m. - Piano placement exam

9:15 – 11:30 a.m. – Program interviews (Music Education, Music Therapy, Graduate programs)

9:15 – 11:30 a.m. - Auditions on principal instrument/voice

11:30 a.m. - Lunch in the Wise Room at the Commons

12:30 p.m. - Campus Mini-tour (Student Center, Halle Library, Pease Auditorium)

1:30 p.m. – Advanced Music Theory Exam, Walk-in Advising, Auditions on principal instruments/voice, observe ensemble rehearsals

 

Parents of Music applicants:

9:30 a.m. – Information Session with representatives from University Admissions, Financial Aid, Housing and Dining Services, and Honors College

10:45 a.m. – Department of Music and Dance Question and Answer Session

11:30 a.m. - Lunch in the Wise Room at the Commons

12:30 p.m. - Campus Mini-tour (Student Center, Halle Library, Pease Auditorium)
