In addition to being accepted on their principal instrument, keyboard and guitar principals applying for the Bachelor of Music Education degree (MEDI or MEDV) must also be accepted on a secondary instrument. Applicants must demonstrate a level of proficiency on a secondary instrument/voice that would allow them to be accepted into an appropriate major ensemble: Wind Symphony or Symphonic Band for wind and percussion performers; Symphony Orchestra for string performers; University Choir or Chamber Choir for vocalists.
