Marsha Rinke teaches functional piano class for first year music majors, applied piano lessons for music education majors, and Music Appreciation. Rinke also works in the department's events office and does special projects for the department head. Rinke has worked for EMU's Department of Music and Dance since 2001. She has worked as a piano teaching assistant at the Interlochen Arts Camp during the summers of 2004 and 2005 and as a choral accompanist in 2006. Rinke is the Director of Music at the First Congregational Church of Chelsea and Founding Director of the Chelsea Musical Celebrations concert series. She was previously the Business and Financial Manager for nine years at the Emerson School in Ann Arbor.
Ms. Rinke earned a Master of Arts degree in Piano Pedagogy from Eastern Michigan University. She also holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees - one from EMU in Piano and one from the University of Michigan in English Language and Literature. In addition, Ms. Rinke holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan.
