Congratulations on a successful event. We raised over $5500 for the EMU jazz program and Al Townsend Scholarship fund, thanks to the generosity of our supporters!

Congratulations to EMU student Anna Hinkley, winner of the 2011-12 Al Townsend Scholarship.

Featuring Alex Graham, jazz saxophone artist

Alex knows how to get a crowd on their feet and groovin' to the beat. His jazz groups have performed at festivals and clubs all over the United States and opened concerts for Dave Brubeck, The Count Basie Orchestra and John Pizzarelli to name a few. Graham has served as music director at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island since 2001. During his tenure at Grand Hotel, USA Today has praised its music as its best amenity. Alex has been the jazz artist in residence at EMU from 2010-2011.
