Dr. Geoffrey Stanton is Director of Music at Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he resides. He is an artist/clinician for Rodgers Instruments, LLC, specializing in MIDI/organ. He is the author of a book, The Digital Musician,an introductory manual in MIDI and electronics. Dr. Stanton has served as Part-time Lecturer Faculty at Eastern Michigan University since 2008.

As a composer, Dr. Stanton has received numerous awards and grants, including the prestigious Charles Ives Fellowship from the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York, fellowships from Tanglewood, Aspen, Sandpoint, June-in-Buffalo, and the Atlantic Center for the Arts. Grants include funding from the U.S. Department of Education, the Jacob Javits Foundation, Meet-the-Composer, Rackham Foundation, Johnson Foundation, and Continental Harmony (National Endowment for the Arts, Rockefeller Foundation, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and the Target Foundation).

Dr. Stanton is an accomplished recitalist on organ and synthesizers, performing throughout the United States and in Germany. He has served as clinician for numerous events in the fields of organ, electronic music, and choral techniques.
