Deadline: November 1 for Winter term admission; May 1 for Fall term admission

Undergraduate applicants who submit a recorded audition must still successfully complete the Music Theory Entrance Exam. Those applying to be admitted into the Music Education or Music Therapy degrees must also successfully complete the Program Interview to be admitted into the Department of Music & Dance. These applicants should contact Dr. Prince (jprince@emich.edu) to schedule these admissions requirements. Students unable to visit campus in advance will be scheduled for testing, interview, and advising (if admitted) the day before the semester begins.

Graduate applicants who submit a recorded audition can be conditionally admitted to the Department of Music & Dance based on a successful audition, but must still successfully complete the Program Interview and take the Graduate Music Theory Placement Exam to be fully admitted. These applicants should contact Dr. Prince (jprince@emich.edu) to schedule these admissions requirements. Students unable to visit campus in advance will be scheduled for testing, interview, and, if admitted, advising the day before the semester begins.
