Known Portal Issues

The portal is designed to provide the EMU community with a broad range of information accessible through a simple, yet flexible, interface. The portal is organized by role-based tabs, giving users a central location for accessing services and obtaining information.

Quick Steps are abbreviated instructions, intended for those who prefer a quick reference, or simply need a refresher. To view the Quick Steps for a particular topic, click on the Quick Steps icon, located across from the title.

My.emich Tab
The my.emich tab is the home page for the my.emich portal; it displays each time you log-in to the portal. At a glance, you can see new e-mail messages, campus announcements and, based on user preference, check the weather or read the latest headlines.

Student Tab
The Student Tab provides quick and easy access to academic information and services. From this tab, students can:

  • register for classes
  • drop or add classes
  • print a class schedule
  • view final grades and unofficial transcripts
  • view pay information

Faculty Tab
Faculty can access personal and academic services from one, centralized location. From this tab, faculty can:

  • print a class list
  • submit grades
  • view an unofficial student transcript
  • update personal information
  • view benefit and pay information

Employee Tab
The Employee Tab is the central access point for employee information and services. From this tab, employees can:

  • update personal information
  • view benefit and pay information

Reports Tab
The Reports Tab is the central access point for data and reports. This tab includes channels for:

  • Student and Course Information Reports
  • Finance Reports
  • Institutional Research & Information Management (IRIM) Reports
  • Miscellaneous Reports, such as generating mailing labels

My Tab
My Tab is provided for any user who wishes to customize their own page within the portal.
