Using my.emich Groups

Campus Pipeline allows you to interact and communicate with other members of your organization using a set of powerful and easy to use group tools.

The groups function allows individuals to interact with others who share hobbies, a course of study, assignments, club affiliation, or other common interests. Depending on the privileges given to your group, on your homepage you may be able to post photos, create Internet links, create news articles, and use resources like a dedicated chat room, message board, and calendar.

Anyone at EMU may request the creation of a group--students forming a study group or working on a group project, campus organizations, or a group interested in a specific subject or activity.

Groups may be:

  • Public - anyone with access to my.emich can join.
  • Restricted - only members identified as members of the group can join.

To reach the groups area of my.emich, start by clicking on the groups icon located in the top right of any my.emich page. The Groups function opens to a set of tabs.

To get started, you'll want to join an existing group or request the creation of a new group. Select "Group Index" to browse the online groups and request membership. Select "Request Group" to start a new online group.

My Groups contains a list of the groups you have already joined. Just click on a group name to enter the group.
