Ø    Whitney reviewed subcommittee meeting schedule and passed out a proposed schedule
of meeting times (attached).

 

Ø    Subcommittee discussed required Public Forums and possible dates and agendas. 
Proposed agenda included the following:

 

Ø    First Meeting March 27, 2002 4-5:00 p.m.  Alumni Room

Tentative Agenda

I    Review prior plan

II   Comments period (comments from public, all ideas kept for writing the plan)

III  Suggestions for future improvements

 

Ø    Second Meeting October 3, 2002

Ø    Subcommittee will secure location of meetings, arrange for publicity and work on prep.

Whitney will give the introduction; Carole will provide historical perspective during the forums;
Eric will serve as the forum facilitator; Other members of the committee will alternate responding to questions. 
Forum participants will be allowed to ask questions via pre-made question cards.

 

Subcommittee agreed to read the Equity Report from the initial certification process and come to the next
meeting prepared to discuss in detail. 

 

Lee will make sure the Equity Report is available on the EMU website.

 

Whitney will ask his secretary to attend future meetings to record the subcommittee’s minutes. 
Lee will read/review and disseminate to the committee members and University community at large.
