Minutes of Meeting – Monday, August 19, 2002 - 111 Welch Hall

                                                                                                                                   

Present:  John Dugger, Jeff Armstrong, Kim Berrington, Amelia Chan, Lynette Findley, Wendy Gunter, John Novak, Chris Shell

 

1.      Agenda approved with order changes

2.      Minutes from July 22, 2002 approved.  It was verified that only approved minutes would be posted to the EMU NCAA web site.

3.      REMINDER: NCAA visiting team will be on campus June 9-12.  Please leave June 10 & 11 as open as possible for the subcommittee to meet with the team.  Further scheduling information to come.

4.      Fall activities/meetings

    1. Subcommittee to meet on Friday 9/6/02 at noon in 111 Welch – lunch provided
    2. URL to be established for draft report by 9/6/02

                                                               i.      Dugger will arrange this with Melody Reifel

    1. Faculty council interaction in September

                                                               i.      Dugger to send memo with URL to council members by 9/13/02

                                                             ii.      Dugger and Armstrong to request brief presentation time on 9/18 or 9/25

                                                            iii.      Council invited to attend open forum session (see below)

    1. Open forum to be held on Thursday 10/3/02 12:30-2pm with cookies and beverages provided

                                                               i.      Dugger to arrange for room in McKenny

    1. Subcommittee to meet Friday 10/4 at noon in 111 Welch – lunch provided

5.      Review of latest draft of subcommittee report

    1. Subcommittee members are requested to read and report any further questions/issues to Dugger no later than 9/4/02 for inclusion in draft for 9/6/02 meeting

6.      Next Meeting:  September 6, 2002 at noon
