Integrity - John Dugger
- Equity,
Welfare & Sportsmanship - Whitney Harris
- Fiscal
Integrity - Sandra Williams
- Governance - Karen Simpkins
Issues/Problems:
- Dave
Diles announced that Jim Pignataro, Assistant Athletics
Director/Academics, has accepted a position at Michigan State University
and that he will be greatly missed.
He did an outstanding job while here at EMU.
- Jim
Vick announced that Sandra Williams has been approved as the permanent
replacement for Fiscal Integrity Chair Bob Brackenbury, who has left the
university. Vice President Doyle
has agreed to sit on the subcommittee until such time that Bob’s
replacement is hired.
- Sandra
Williams reported there was low turnout at the Fiscal Integrity public
forum. Vick suggested that another
one be scheduled in an attempt to get a better turn out.
- Jim
Vick asked the committee if they were satisfied with the format of the
minutes. John Dugger requested
that an “Action Items” section be added to the current format.
Action Items:
- Rough
drafts of subcommittee self-study reports should be submitted to Jim Vick
as soon as they become available.
- Whitney
Harris will contact Dave Diles to talk about developing policies for
current practices in the area of equity, welfare and sportsmanship.
- Sandra
Williams will schedule a second Fiscal Integrity public forum so that
greater input can be gained from the campus community.
