How to apply

1. Review the “Nonprofit Graduate Certificate” section of the website http://www.emich.edu/nonprofit/

2. Complete an “Application for Graduate Admissions” with the Admissions Office either online or manually. Go to www.emich.edu/admissions/apply to apply online, or to www.emich.edu/admissions/forms/ngrapp.pdf to download a form and mail to Office of Admissions, EMU, P.O. Box 970, Ypsilanti, MI 48197-7621 Phone: 734.487.3400.

You will be considered a degree seeking student if you plan to complete the certificate program; otherwise you can be a “self-improvement student” and take a class or two.

For Question #12, check box “b” Graduate Certificate and insert the Program Code of either NPMG for the Nonprofit Management graduate certificate or CBLD for the Community Building graduate certificate.

Pay the $35 application fee.

3. Talk with a faculty advisor of the concerned program and plan your Program of Study. Use the “Course Schedule” available on the nonprofit website and http://insight.emich.edu to see which classes are offered over the next four semesters.

4. Once you get the my.emich account register for classes using your student ID #.
