Registered Nurse / BS in Nursing Completion

The BSN completion option for registered nurses (RN/BSN completion) was developed to provide a convenient way for graduates of associate degree and diploma programs to obtain a bachelor degree in nursing. EMU School of Nursing has articulation agreements with several community colleges, thus allowing a smooth transition between the programs. Please contact the School of Nursing for more information.

The RN/BSN completion option is offered at five sites: Brighton, Detroit, Jackson, Livonia, and Monroe. Programs have also been provided at select locations with community partners (such as St. Joseph Mercy Hospital-Ann Arbor, Veterans Administration-Ann Arbor, and Oakwood Hospital-Dearborn). Students are admitted to each site in a cohort. In order to complete all nursing coursework, students attend required nursing classes one evening a week for 5 semesters. A clinical experience of 84 hours in community health nursing is required.
