No Worker Left Behind (NWLB)

No Worker Left Behind (NWLB) is a plan for accelerating the transition of workers into well-paid jobs by providing up to two years worth of tuition (not to exceed $5,000 per year) at any community college, university, or other approved training provider to gain the skills and credentials for new careers in high-demand occupations, emerging industries, or to start a business. The program functions through Michigan Works! Agencies, who oversee service providers selected through a competitive bidding process to best meet the workforce needs of their local area.
