Cultural talent show hosted by the International Student Association. Watch EMU students sing, dance, and perform during this cultural entertainment show. Tickets on sale soon!

world cup soccer

Football 101

American football is fun, popular and exciting! You will learn the basic rules, how to throw a football, and get to try on football uniforms. Receive a FREE EMU shirt. Then, cheer on Eastern at the first football game of the year. Go EMU Eagles!

10:30 a.m. - Meet at Bus Circle Drive outside student Center. Additional buses leave every 15 minutes.
11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - Tailgating in front of stadium
12:45 p.m. - Enter stadium to watch game

Football first game

Cheer on the Eastern Michigan Eagles at the first game of the year. Show your school spirit with thousands of others. Free admission with student ID. Don't understand football? Come to Football 101 to learn!

Homecoming is a week of school-spirited events for students and graduates of the university. On the last day of Homecoming, we have a Parade of Nations and carry more than 100 flags around the field during the traditional Homecoming American football game. It is great opportunity to demonstrate the importance of culture and diversity to EMU.

thanksgiving dinner

Learn the history behind American Thanksgiving and enjoy a traditional American Thanksgiving meal (including vegetarian options).

When : Friday, November 16, 2012, 5pm-8pm
Where : Student Center Ballroom. Ticket required for entry.

Ticket cost $5 each and are available in advanced at OIS. Family and spouses are welcome.
You must bring exactly $5 in cash, we cannot make change. Tickets sales end on Monday, November 12 at 5pm. All proceeds will be donated the local charity- Forgotten Harvest (http://www.forgottenharvest.org/).

This is a nice dinner. Please dress in business causal clothing.
Examples of business casual for women are: Nice slacks, skirts or khaki pants. Sweaters or blouses. Please no blue jeans, T-shirts or hoodies.

frankenmuth

This winter wonderland is known for handmade arts and crafts, famous restaurants, and the world's largest Christmas store. Frankenmuth is a little German town located about 1.5 hours from campus.

Sign up in advanced by bringing exactly $5 in cash (for transportation costs) to OIS. Please bring cash/credit card for lunch and souvenirs while in Frankenmuth. Meet at Student Center Bus Circle.
