
Congratulations on your admissions to Eastern Michigan University (EMU). We recognize that beginning school in an unfamiliar community has its challenges, especially in a culture different from your own. That is why we offer a mandatory International Student Orientation as one of the first steps to help you transition to your life at EMU. This mandatory orientation is where you will discover how to navigate life at EMU.
Orientation is designed to give you information in the following areas:

- U.S.Culture
- Campus safety
- Health insurance and health care
- Employment
- Academic Success
- Transportation in the U.S. Getting a Michigan Driver's License
When: Friday, May 4, 2012, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Where: Student Center, Room 301
During orientation, you have many opportunities to meet fellow new students, both American and international. PLUS, you will get to meet many current students too that can give you guidance and advice based on their experiences. Orientation is not only a great time to learn all about your new university, it is also a time to make many new friends.
