First Four New Student Orientation: September 1–4, 2017

You're officially a new student at EMU. You attended Fast Track (Part A of orientation) so now it's time to attend First Four, Part B of orientation. We want you to feel comfortable with the people, places and programs that will become your life during the next four years, and First Four will help you do just that.

Who Attends First Four Orientation?

Orientation is a mandatory program for our new students and designed with both residential and commuter students in mind.

How do I sign up?

If you're registered for classes, you're registered for First Four. 


The first day of the First Four (Friday September 1, 2017) program is designed specifically for families and guests supporting a student through the college journey. EMU welcomes families and guests; however, there are no special services available for children during this program (maximum of four guests per student).

Special Accommodations

If you have accessibility or accommodation needs for campus events or activities due to a disability, contact EMU's Disability Resource Center at 734.487.2470. Reasonable arrangements require practical advanced notice of need. 

If you or a family member who will be attending any part of First Four Orientation have a special medical or dietary need, contact the Orientation and Transition Programs Office at 734.487.1208 or no later than Monday August 28, 2017.
