Transfer in a Day Student Orientation

Transfer in a Day is introduces you to life at EMU gives you a chance to start your EMU career by registering for fall classes, meeting learning about campus resources and meeting other students.

After you're admitted as a new transfer student, we'll mail you information about registering for Transfer in a Day, which is your official way to tell us you've decided to attend Eastern. If you live outside of the mid-west and can't attend, please complete the online form and you'll receive alternative instructions for academic advising and course registration.

Before Attending Transfer in a Day

Because having up-to-date transcripts will make transferring credits easier, make sure your most recent transcripts have been sent to EMU. 

What do I need to bring to Transfer in a Day?

  • If you have updated transcripts since the date of your admission, please bring copies of those transcripts.
  • Any financial aid award and scholarship paperwork that you have received from EMU. (Financial aid and scholarship staff will be at Transfer In A Day to answer your questions.)
  • A state/government issued photo ID card (passport, driver's license, state ID).
  • Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing, including good walking shoes.

Do I need to bring money?

No. For incoming transfer students, the cost is included in the $150 new student fee assessed to your student account at the beginning of your first semester at EMU.
