Parking Department

The Parking Department provides adequate parking and transportation services for Faculty, Staff, Students and Visitors while on Eastern Michigan University's Main Campus. EMU Parking Department oversees enforcement of parking regulations and traffic control, while managing parking hang tags sales, fines, gate receipts and meters.

News and Announcements:

To EMU Students:

Fall hang tags available: Starting August 10, 2015, Commuter and Resident  hang tags may be purchased online. Hang Tags ordered on or before August 27, 2015 will be mailed.

Fall hang tags for anyone living in Cornell, Westview, Brown / Munson, 601  will be available to order online starting August 10, 2015.  They will not be mailed out but will be available for pick up at the Apartment office in Brown starting September 5, 2015.

Tags purchased online after August 27, 2015 will be ready for pick up the following business day after 10am. Please bring a photo ID when picking up your hang tag.

Starting August 24, 2015 hang tags (Commuter, Resident, Cornell, Westview and Brown / Munson, 601) may be purchased in person at the Parking Department located in the Public Safety Building at 1200 Oakwood between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30pm.

Fall hang tag required: Commuter hang tags must be displayed on the rear view mirror by September 17, 2015. Any vehicle that is parked in a designated lot on or after September 18, 2015 without a valid hang tag will be ticketed.

Fall hang tag required:  Residents , Cornell, Westview and Brown / Munson, 601 must have their hang tag displayed on the rear view mirror and must be parked in designated Resident areas only. If a vehicle is parking in a resident area without a hang tag on or after September 11, 2015 it will be ticketed.

Starting August 31, 2015:

  • Meters will be $1.50 per hour.
  • Pay in Lanes will be $1.50 per hour with a maximum fee of $12.00 for 24 hours.

Shuttle Bus Information:

AAATA Shuttle #33 College of Business Service: Last day of service for the Winter 2015 semester will be May 2, 2015. Shuttle service will not be provided during Summer Semester.

Trinity Shuttle - Rynearson Service: Last day of service for Winter 2015 will be April 28, 2015. Shuttle service will not be provided during Summer Semester.
