Biography:
Dissertation: A Study of Post-Idealism in Contemporary European Philosophy.

Her teaching interests include ancient philosophy, phenomenology, nineteenth and twentieth century European philosophy, feminist philosophy and social ethics. Professor Mehuron is a recipient of the Distinguished Faculty Award in Teaching and the Michigan Governing Board Distinguished Faculty Award.

Her recent presentations include "Encountering the Diagnosis in Philosophical Counseling Sessions" at the Eastern Division of the American Philosophical Association, Baltimore, December 2007; “A Model of Supervision in Philosophical Counseling Practice” at the International Conference for Philosophical Practice, Purdue University, Calumet, Indiana, May, 2007; “Writing Client Case Studies: A Philosophical Counseling Approach,”Eastern Division of the American Philosophical Association, Washington D.C., December 2006; “Same Sex Battery: Conceptual and Strategic Interventions,” at the Security, Trust, Conflict Conference, Canadian Society for Women in Philosophy, Peterborough, Ontario, October 2006. Professor Mehuron is the author of numerous published articles in feminist and social ethics anthologies. Her current research interests focus on the philosophical counseling movement and philosophical critiques of medical mental health paradigms.
