PHILOSOPHY UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM The philosophy major consists of 33 credit hours. 24 of those hours must be above the 100 level. Majors must satisfactorily complete at least one course in each of the following core areas, with at least 12 of those hours at the 300 or 400 level. The philosophy minor consists of 24 credit hours.15 of those hours must be at or above the 200 level. Minors must satisfactorily complete at least one course in each of the following core areas, with at least 9 of those hours at the 300 or 400 level. Students must take at least one Writing Intensive course. PHIL 310, 325, 330, 331, 332 355, 370, 375, 380, 391, 442, 426, 460, 470, 471, and 475 are often offered as Writing Intensive sections; those sections will be marked W in the EMU schedule.
