UNIVERSITY POLICY STATEMENT
Eastern Michigan University provides students with
the opportunity to appeal formally a final grade
in a course because he or she believes that the
grade has been awarded capriciously or unfairly.
UNIVERSITY PRACTICE
A formal grade grievance procedure will be promulgated
and included in the University Catalog.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR IMPLEMENTATION
The provost and vice president for academic affairs
or his or her designee is responsible for the implementation
of this policy.
SCOPE OF POLICY COVERAGE
This policy applies to all Eastern Michigan University
students.
