Issue: Regent Emeritus Status

UNIVERSITY POLICY STATEMENT

Regents completing their appointed term of service shall be granted Emeritus Regent status following the end of their service.  Regents serving less than their term, in good standing, shall be eligible for Emeritus Regent Status upon recommendation and grant by the Board of Regents.

 

UNIVERSITY PRACTICE

Upon completion of their term of service or upon approval of the Board of Regents, Regents shall be granted emeritus status.

 

RESPONSIBILITY FOR IMPLEMENTATION

The Secretary and Chair of the Board of Regents have the overall responsibility for implementation of this policy.

 

SCOPE OF POLICY COVERAGE

This policy covers all Regents who conclude one appointed term of service upon their retirement from service and Regents who have served less than a full term of appointment who are recommended and approved by the Board of Regents.  Regents retired prior to the date of this policy are retroactively granted Emeritus status.

 

BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO INDIVIDUALS APPROVED FOR REGENT EMERITUS STATUS
