Psychology Department Awards

  • Robert Anderson Award Expand dropdown

    The Anderson Award is awarded annually to a junior or senior undergraduate psychology major who has demonstrated outstanding performance in psychology.

    Requirements:

    • junior or senior standing
    • completion of at least 30 credits at EMU
    • completion of 15 or more credits in the psychology department (including PSY 205 & 301)
    • overall GPA of 3.5

    Applicants apply in March and decisions are made by faculty before the annual Psychology Awards Ceremony in April. 

  • Wilbert J. McKeachie Award Expand dropdown

    The Marshall/McKeachie Award is awarded annually to two students.

    Requirements:

    • best poster presentation at the Undergraduate Research Symposium
    • best oral presentation at the Undergraduate Research Symposium

    Winners are announced at the annual Psychology Awards Ceremony in April.
