Biography

My research interests are on the classification and validation of the personality disorders, with special interest in the Depressive Personality Disorder. I also have interests in the empirical underpinnings of psychoanalytic and psychodynamic theory and therapy.

I am fully licensed in the states of Michigan and Texas and maintain a small private practice in Northville, Michigan. My professional affiliations include:  the American Psychological Association, the Society for Personality Assessment, and the American Psychoanalytic Association (Research Associate).

I am an Associate Editor for the Journal of Personality Disorders and am on the Editorial Boards of Personality Disorders: Theory, Research, and Treatment, the Journal of Personality Assessment, Psychological Inquiry and the Law, and Bulletin of the Menninger Clinic.
