Fall 2017 Faculty Position


ASSISTANT PROFESSOR PSYCHOLOGY-ABA Autism:

Tenure-track position beginning Fall 2018 for PhD in Psychology or closely related field with specialization in applied behavior analysis; BCBA certification or BCBA certification eligible required. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of a strong, ongoing research program and of ability to teach a range of relevant courses to a diverse student body. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at graduate and undergraduate levels. We have a particular need for someone who can teach Applied Behavior Analysis at the graduate level and ABA for Children with Autism at the undergraduate level. Candidates must also be able to supervise thesis and dissertation research, participate in department- and university-level committees, establish a research program with student participation at all levels, and supervise clinical student practicum experiences.

The Psychology Department has MS programs in General Clinical, Clinical-Behavioral, and Experimental Psychology, an APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program, and approximately 1,000 undergraduate majors. The Clinical-Behavioral MS program has a course sequence in preparation for BACB approval. In addition, the undergraduate curriculum includes a BCaBA course sequence. The department includes an onsite community clinic that provides therapy and assessment services for children, families, and adults. The university houses an autism center that provides ABA, social skills, and multidisciplinary services. The EMU campus is located in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor community, five miles from downtown Ann Arbor and 35 miles west of Detroit, MI and Windsor, Ontario.
