The Department of Chemistry
@ Eastern Michigan University
While the Graduate School pays for the G.A.'s registration, student
government, and health center fees, the assistantship does not cover late
registration fees, drop/add fees, activity/facilities fees, or special
course fees such as those in Music, Art, Biology, etc.
Courses at the 100 and 200 level are not routinely paid for by the Graduate
School Tuition Scholarship policy. Those 100 and 200 level courses which
are applicable to your academic course of study (e.g., deficiency courses,
foundation courses, courses which teach a necessary skill such as computer
applications or a foreign language) will be paid for by the tuition award
provided that the course is identified as necessary to your program
of study. Those 100 and 200 level courses which you may be taking for recreation
or vocational reasons are not eligible for reimbursement. Courses for which
the Graduate School will reimburse you must be indicated on your Program
of Study, as a condition of your degree admission.
