The COB's Management Department offers the Fourth Ernest and Jeanne Merlanti Corporate Ethics Seminar this Winter semester, 2008 (MGMT 457 [CRN 24233], M/W 10-11:15 a.m.). If competitively selected to participate in this course, you'll receive a $450 tuition allowance!*
Juniors and seniors from any EMU major may apply. Other minimum criteria include a 3.0 minimum g.p.a. and an expressed interest in the subject area-no course prerequisites. Course space is limited; admission decisions reflect the unique perspectives the applicant can bring to the course (interviews to be held in early November). Those chosen for the course will be recognized as "Merlanti Scholars" at the COB's Honors Banquet in April.
The seminar's presentations by recognized businesspersons, its case-study discussions, and its relevant student projects will sharpen your awareness of corporate social responsibility and business ethics issues. You'll also help select the Merlanti Ethics Best Practices Award winner. For further details see http://www.mgt.emich.edu/ethics/seminar.html
Interested in applying? Check with Dr. John Waltman, Merlanti Ethics Program Director at jwaltman@emich.edu or 734-487-0323. Applications available at 457 Owen Building.
*This amount is the same for in-state and out-of-state students
