Course Requirements for Graduation

Foundation/Prerequisite Courses (15 credit hours)
Students must complete work in each of the following areas unless they have satisfactorily completed the undergraduate equivalent previously.

Business Foundation

DS 501, and IS 502 may be waived through a proficiency exam, prior learning assessment, or prior equivalent course work.
Nine hours of graduate or undergraduate non-management courses spread across three business functional areas listed below, one of which must be from the Accounting or Finance area.

  • Students with an undergraduate course in organizational theory and behavior may be required to substitute an elective for MGMT 505 Organizational Theory and Behavior.
  • Students with an undergraduate course in human resource management / personnel administration or equivalent may be required to substitute an elective for MGMT 509 Human Resource Management
  • Students who elect the six hour thesis (MGMT 690, MGMT692, & MGMT 692) in place of MGMT 688 will only take three electives (nine credit hours).
