From the Director:
Friends, Change... it made Alice in Wonderland crazy and anxious, caught our local auto manufactures by surprise, challenged all of us as leaders. Today leaders need exceptional emotional intelligence to lead effectively during turbulent times and to influence and motivate our workforce to look forward and not back. This is a personal challenge for leaders as we ourselves are often feeling overwhelmed, confused, frustrated and excited. Is it OK to show those emotions to our employees and peers? How important is it to lead with the appropriate emotions for the situation, to lead and motivate our employees through change, to show empathy to our employees, to build solid professional relationships? We invite you to check out and comment on our latest Leadership Quagmire blog for a great discussion. We think there is lots to be said on the subject! As always...let's keep the conversation going. Best Regards, |
