Skills and Communications
Program Format and Content:
Communication plays a central
role in organizational life. Advancing Communication Competencies focuses on increasing
individual performance in organizations by developing critical communication
skills to a higher level. This workshop is appropriate for new
managers and supervisors who need to work with people from different
parts of an organization. The two-day workshop will enable participants
to
- Identify critical building blocks of effective communication with
peers, supervisors, supervisees, customers, and other organizational
stakeholders;
- Develop important knowledge and skills as a communicator and speaker;
- Develop important knowledge and skills related to listening and giving
feedback;
- Create communication strategies for leading others, solving problems,
generating creativity, and improving accountability in the workplace;
- Apply communication skills to different organizational situations
- communicating up, down, and across organizational units.
Following the workshop, coaching is available for individuals
to work on specific competencies to support their long term professional
development.
