Workplace diversity is continuing
to grow in critical strategic importance in organizations. Each Workplace Diversity
addresses some foundational knowledge of the topic, develop and advance
skill levels, and provide opportunities for application of knowledge
and skills to create competency in managing workplace diversity. A
central component of the Workplace Diversity workshops features improvisational
theatre.
The topics addressed by Workplace Diversity include
the following:
Gender communication and interactions
Racial relationships
Cross-cultural Communication
Intercultural Competence
Sexual orientation - gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender
Religion and spirituality
Age and Generational Gaps - Veterans, Boomers,
Xers, & Millenials
On Being White and Whiteness
Being Disabled in the Workplace
Complexities and Opportunities With Multiple Diversities
The Workplace Diversity workshops
can be taken individually, as a customized combination, or as a complete
set. Each workshop
has 3 sessions of 3 hours each over 3 weeks. The workshop delivery
methods will highlight the use of improvisational theatre and include
experiential learning activities, discussions, cases, journaling, and
workplace applications.
Learning to manage workplace diversity
effectively takes substantial development within individuals. As
a result, some learners may require or request the services of an executive
management coach to support individual double loop learning to increase
performance with managing workplace diversity.
