Services
The advising office serves over 2,500 COB majors in the following
thirteen programs; accounting, accounting information systems, 150-hour
BBA-MSA in accounting, 150-hour BBA-MSA in accounting information
systems, finance, economics, computer information systems, management,
general business, entrepreneurship, marketing, language and world
business and international business. In addition, the office also
provides services to business minors, second bachelor's students
and guest students.
The Undergraduate Business Programs and Advising Office welcomes
prosepective high school and transfer students to meet with an academic
advisor at any time to discuss a business program that will fulfill
your needs and career goals.
Mission Statement
"The College of Business (COB) Undergraduate Business Programs
and Advising Office is committed to serve all business and non-business
majors as well as prospective students and alumni by providing accutate
advise, information and referrals for all academic and student services
in a courteous and pleasant environment; to contribute to the university
and college recruitment and retention efforts; and ensuring the
students academic success and develop learning."
History
The Undergraduate Business Programs and Advising Office was established
in the early 80's to administer the second admissions process required
for business programs under the accreditation guidelines of AACSB
International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of
Business. Eastern Michigan University is proud to be one of
400 schools of business out of 1200 in the nation that have achieved
this prestigious accreditation. The focus of AACSB accreditation
is continous program assessment and refinement which insures our
students get the best education possible. |

Walk-ins are welcome during daytime hours. Advising, applications,
override requests and all other services for business
majors and non-business majors must be accompanied by progress reports.
