The Cherry Orchard

Comedy-drama by Anton Chekhov. Directed by Dr. James Gousseff. Chekhov directs his wry humor at the ironic life of Madame Ranevskaya and her middle-class family as they bemoan the loss of their family home and beloved orchard. Runs in festival with The Good Doctor

Adapted from the award-winning children's book by Remy Charlip, and directed by Patricia Zimmer: It is a "Collection of Connections" presented through play, music, and dance and is appropriate for ages 5 and up.

Accidental Death of an Anarchist
May 29-31, June 4-6, 1998

The central character of this manic comedy, known only as Fool, targets the hypocrisy of those in authority by tricking them into re-opening the investigation of an "accident" in which a prisoner "fell" to his death. This wickedly funny satire of government abuse of power, written by Dario Fo and adapted by Richard Nelson, is directed by Karen Smith-Meyer.
