The Public Relations Student Society of America is a professional student organization that introduces serious public relations students into the PR world by interacting with professionals and other students working within the field. More importantly, the PRSSA provides an opportunity for budding PR people to network with members of our parent organization the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

The mission of the Eleanor Wright Chapter is to enhance our members' knowledge of public relations in order to provide the public relations field, local and abroad, with the most qualified, well informed and honorable professionals.  Since 1997, our members have offered services to the local Ypsilanti community, as well as metro Detroit.  Our members are hard workers and serious about the field of public relations. We are involved in promoting campus activities, the campus newspaper and working within the field of PR via internships.

If you are serious about public relations or curious about communications, join the Eleanor Wright Chapter of PRSSA. While most students in the PRSSA are public relations majors, any journalism, communications and marketing majors or minors are welcome. We have loads of "real world" knowledge  from our informative meetings. You will get the opportunity to hear about real-life crises that occur in organizations, thanks to guests from our speaker's bureau. If a competent student professional organization is what you are looking for, you've found it.

The Eastern Michigan University Chapter was founded in 1997 and is currently one of 191 campus chapters nationwide.
