Writing Across the Curriculum
The Writing Across the Curriculum program at Eastern Michigan
University strives to develop a cohesive writing experience for
students by training faculty to use writing effectively in their
classes, working with programs systematically to develop a writing
curriclum for their majors, and leading the campus in ensuring all
students write successfully.
Three premises of the Writing Across the Curriculum
program are: Writing must be practiced and reinforced throughout the
curriculum; To write is to learn; The resposnibility for student
writing is university-wide.
