Jacob Blumner is Director of Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) at EMU,
where he is an Assistant Professor of English Language and Literature. He has served as
president of the East Central Writing Center Association (ECWCA) and directed the WAC
program and the writing center at Kent State University—Stark Campus. His publications
include Writing Centers and Writing Across the Curriculum Programs: An Interdisciplinary
Partnership and The Allyn and Bacon Guide to Writing Center Theory and Practice. He also
serves as a reviewer for The WAC Journal. His current research interests examine the use of
systems thinking and organizational learning in writing across the curriculum.
