Welcome to the Department of Computer Information Systems (CIS) in the College of Business (COB) at Eastern Michigan University. We offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs and a graduate certificate program in information systems, plus specialization in enterprise business intelligence within the COB Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program. Our programs are aimed at preparing students in concepts, theory, and practices for designing, constructing, and maintaining information systems that support business processes. The knowledge and practical business applications development experiences gained by students in these programs prepares them for information systems professions and academic advancement. Learning experiences expose the students to challenges in developing leading edge information systems with a sound understanding of how information technology should integrate with strategic approaches to business management. |
