GEOL 356 Field Geology II is the second half of geologic field camp. Field Geology II is taught in the vicinity of Cañon City, Colorado. We are in the field from 8:00 AM till 6:00 PM. Students should plan on spending a few hours each evening preparing maps, measured sections, cross sections, stereonets, etc.
The prerequisites for GEOL 356 Field Geology II are passing grades in 160-Physical Geology, 161-Historical Geology, 228-Mineralogy, 326-Structural Geology, 329-Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology, and 330-Sedimentology and Stratigraphy. The prerequisites are strictly enforced.
