The Earth Science program at Eastern Michigan University is exclusively undergraduate so there are plenty of opportunities for student/faculty interaction. Classes are taught by experienced, well-qualified, full-time faculty who are actively engaged in research. Our faculty are dedicated to providing a high quality undergraduate Earth Science education.
Earth Science Majors* Earth Science for Secondary Education Successful completion of this course of studies, in the context of other program requirements, qualifies the student for recommendation for certification for the Michigan Department of Education Secondary Provisional Certificate endorsed in earth science/geology, certification code "DH." This program is for those who seek a general liberal arts education in earth science, those who are interested in a career combining earth science with fields such as business, law, technical writing, or planning, and those who are interested in careers as earth science technicians.
