THE FOLLOWING CHANGES IN THE EARTH SCIENCE MAJORS HAVE BEEN APPROVED AND ARE EFFECTIVE BEGINNING FALL 2000
1. GEOL 120 The Fossil Record can not be taken for credit towards and Earth Science Major
2. GEOL 161 Historical Geology is now a core requirement for the Earth Science Major. Historical Geology will be offered both Fall and Winter semesters from now on.
3. GESC 309 Plate Tectonics will no longer be taught after Fall semester 2000. Any 300 or 400-level GESC or GEOL course can be used to satisfy this requirement.
NOTE: BEGINNING WINTER 2001 ALL PREREQUISITES FOR ALL COURSES IN ALL DEPARTMENTS AT EASTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED BY THE ONLINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM.
