| The Department of Geography and Geology specializes in the areas of providing a strong foundation in geographic and geologic sciences. Within these two disciplines we also have four very active programs:
*Geographic Information Systems (CEITA) *Historic Preservation *Urban and Regional Planning *Earth Sciences. We also have three established research centers: *Center for Environmental Information Technology and Applications (CEITA) *RMS Titanic Archives *Hydrogeology Center The Department encourages research on any of the above issues and topics as well as topics of individual scholars within the department. If you are interested in pursuing an independent project, you may approach faculty directly, or speak to Chris Mayda or Serena Poli, Undergraduate Advisors, about potential faculty contacts. You are urged to take courses relevant to projects of interest before undertaking a project. |
